How we handle your information.
This notice explains how we handle personal data collected through the IO Flux website and the IO Flux private-beta interest list. If the private beta later involves additional processing, participants will receive any further terms or notices that apply.

Information we collect
When you join the private-beta interest list, we collect the email address you submit.
Our hosting provider may process limited technical information associated with a visit, such as your IP address, browser and device information, request time, requested page, and security signals.
When the interest form is enabled, Formhook receives and stores interest-list submissions on our behalf. In addition to the email address you submit, Formhook records the request IP address, User-Agent, Origin, and submission time to deliver the form and prevent misuse.
Please do not submit sensitive personal data, passwords, confidential credentials, or information you are not authorized to share.
Why we use it
We use your email address to maintain the interest list and notify you when the IO Flux private beta is ready. We use limited technical information to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the website and form.
The legal basis for sending the requested notification is your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us. Website security and operation are based on our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure website, together with any legal obligations that apply.
We do not use the interest list for unrelated marketing, and we do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects using solely automated processing.
Who receives the information
We disclose personal data only where needed for the purposes described above:
- to people working on IO Flux who need it to operate the interest list;
- to our hosting provider, which delivers and protects the website;
- to Formhook, which receives and stores interest-list submissions on our behalf;
- to professional advisers or other service providers where reasonably necessary and subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations; and
- to public authorities when disclosure is required by law.
We do not sell or rent information submitted through this website.
Where data is processed
RoughCode OÜ is established in Estonia. Formhook states that it stores submission data and backups with Hetzner in Germany and uses Cloudflare for network security. Cloudflare may process request IP addresses and headers at its global edge while a submission is in transit.
Our hosting provider operates distributed infrastructure and may process limited technical request data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, international transfers by our providers rely on an applicable adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You may contact us for more information about the providers involved.
How long we keep it
We keep the email address you submit until the private-beta opening notification has been sent, you withdraw your consent, or the notification is no longer reasonably expected, whichever happens first. We review the list at least annually and delete submissions from Formhook in line with this schedule.
Formhook keeps submissions until we delete them. Its encrypted backup snapshots may retain deleted information for up to 14 additional days before they expire automatically.
Hosting and security logs are retained according to the relevant provider’s operational and security schedules. We may retain limited information for longer where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Cookies and tracking
The IO Flux website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not use browser storage to track visitors. Our hosting provider may maintain technical request logs for security and service operation.
If we introduce analytics, advertising cookies, or another non-essential browser technology, we will update this notice and request consent where required.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us to:
- provide access to your personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erase data or restrict its use;
- provide data you supplied in a portable format;
- explain or object to processing based on our legitimate interests; or
- withdraw consent.
Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn. To exercise a right, email support@roughcode.co. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity. These rights may be subject to conditions and exceptions under applicable law.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate or the supervisory authority where you live or work.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please submit only the information needed to join the interest list.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the website, private beta, or our service providers change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. We will highlight material changes on the website or communicate them directly when appropriate.
